Not sure if your cough is COVID-19, the flu, or something else? Whether you have symptoms or just a possible exposure, our team can help you decide what to test for—no appointment needed.

What is COVID-19?

COVID-19 is an illness caused by a coronavirus that primarily spreads through respiratory droplets and contaminated surfaces. It ranges from mild cold-like symptoms to more serious infections.

Common COVID-19 symptoms

  • Fever
  • Shortness of breath
  • Fatigue
  • Dry cough
  • Nasal congestion or runny nose

Sore throat

What is the flu?

Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It spreads similarly to COVID-19—mainly through droplets when people cough, sneeze, or talk.

Common flu symptoms

  • Sudden fever and chills
  • Cough and sore throat
  • Body aches and headache
  • Fatigue and weakness
  • Runny or stuffy nose

What is strep throat?

Strep throat is a bacterial infection (Group A Streptococcus) that causes throat pain and fever, and it spreads through close contact and respiratory droplets.

Common strep symptoms

  • Sore throat and painful swallowing
  • Red, swollen tonsils (sometimes with white patches)
  • Fever
  • Swollen neck glands
  • Little to no cough (often a helpful clue)

When should I get tested?

Come in if you or a family member develops fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, body aches, or you’ve had a known exposure. Our clinics accept walk-ins—no appointment required—and we provide testing in a secure, comfortable setting.

How do these infections spread—and how can I prevent them?

Frequent handwashing (20 seconds with soap and water) and avoiding touching your face are key. Keep your distance from people who are coughing or sneezing, and stay home when you’re sick. Cover coughs/sneezes, consider a well-fitting mask when ill, and clean high-touch surfaces regularly.

What to expect at your visit

  1. Symptom review & exam – A clinician will review your symptoms and exposure history.
  2. Targeted testing – We’ll recommend COVID-19, Flu, Strep—or a combination—based on your presentation.
  3. Fast results – Rapid tests deliver results during your visit; PCR/cultures are communicated promptly.
  4. Treatment plan – Guidance on self-care, return-to-work/school timing, and prescriptions when appropriate.

Have questions about test results? Use our online results portal from the existing page resources.
